I am heartbroken that one of my idols and inspirations David Bowie has passed away after an 18 month battle with cancer, I will miss his music and artistry more than I care to admit. He WAS an artist and, more than that a genius, a man who could take any style of popular music and make it his own like no other person could. Its amazing and sad to imagine no more music from him, its hard, I waited 10 years from Reality for The Next Day and now Blackstar is out, his final record and it is an amazing piece of music. Bowie was also an actor and a very talented one at that, most around my age probably grew up watching him in Labyrinth in which he also performed and wrote the songs.

Its kind of funny and sad that his song Lazarus has this as the first verse "Look up here, i'm in heaven. I've got scars that can't be seen"

There are so many emotions running through right now, and all I'm going to be doing is just listening to Blackstar and whatever else he has done. Today, put on your favorite Bowie song or hell play some Tin Machine and just stop, and thank Bowie deeply for giving us such an amazing gift, his music and talent, to us his fans. There never will be a person with as much talent like his in our lifetimes. My thoughts go out to his wife, Imam, their daughter Alexandria, and his son film director Duncan Jones.

Goodbye David Bowie, may you no longer feel pain, and may you be in a better place, you deserved it.
